Oh no she is not!
I was supposed to get inducted into National Honor Society last night. Quite frankly, I shouldn't have even bothered.
First off, they either assume that everyone goes to church and has a "sunday best" outfit, or they assume that everyone goes out to black tie affairs all the time. So they have no problem with making the dress code unreasonable. But what if your "sunday best" is a t-shirt and a pair of flannel pajama pants, because that's as "best" as it gets for me on sundays. So as you can imagine, I had nothing "formal" to wear. So my mother rummaged through several drawers and I ended up looking like a moron. I had to make due with my white ripped Tripps (yes, they came that way!) and some ugly pinkish lace thing for a top. And appearently blue and/or purple eyeshadow/eyeliner is unacceptable as well. So I had to cake on black eyeliner, make so super thin it was hardly even noticable (wth is the point of taking the time to light it and put it on if no one can hardly see it?!), and dab on mascera. It looked horrible without anything to back it up.
So, I finally arrived at hickvi-I mean Marana High- saw a few friends, and tried not to seem totally out of place (which I most absolutely was). Caught a glance at one of their pamplet things and saw my name wasn't on the list. Great. So they couldn't even bother to make sure the only goth in the crowd got her name on the f***ing list. Then they assured me that "oh, they left half of us off the list. Don't worry!" Okay, fine. Whatever. No big deal. Well, then it gets to roll call. I appearently was the only one not on the roster. As in not a typo. Not on any of their lists. "Well did you RSVP?"
Yes. Yes I did. A f***ing month ago. -.-
"Well is your family here?" No, they made me go by myself because they had better things to do. NO DUH THEY WERE THERE! And quite frankly, I'm pretty sure that if my mom and brother hadn't been there, they would have told me to leave. Y'know, just that certain tone of "well obviously you shouldn't be here if you're not on our lists." So she finally got around to announcing that "well, we don't have a certificate for you, but I guess you can stay and light a candle."

So, out of what, fifty of us?, I was the only one who didn't get the stupid certificate thingy. I felt like a total dork. Is it really any surprise that I didn't exactly hang around after the stupid thing was over? As soon as it was over I shoved Gregory aside with a quick goodbye, ignored my mother's "why don't we stay???" cries, and marched out to my truck after shoving the stupid candle to her. Really? I've just managed to look like a total dipsh*t, and you want me to hang around and "mingle?"
Yeah, I'm not in a good mood. To top it off, the math test I was supposed to take today that was going to raise my F to a D by progress reports was M.I.A., so I guess now I'm really S.O.L. since my teacher can't seem to get any of the stuff I do well on in the gradebook.
So whatever. If I'm not on for a month, you all will know why.
I'm not anti-social, I just hate people.
